03 · Diagnosis

Where your time went

Each area is compared with athletes in your finish-time range, then measured against the median profile for your target.

Combined running + RoxzoneOptional venue-comparison view

This adds your eight run splits to your aggregate Roxzone time. It may make comparisons more useful when venues place timing boundaries differently, without replacing the separate diagnosis above.

Similar finishers

Target profile

Similar and target references combine their cohort's median run and Roxzone splits. Estimated pace assumes 8.7 km of total movement. Actual distance varies slightly by venue, so treat it as a comparison estimate rather than true running pace.

04 · Priorities

The best places to work

Estimated gains are capped by segment and at your target gap. They are a direction for planning, not a guaranteed saving.

05 · Complete breakdown

Every split, in context

Your similar-finisher and target cohorts will appear here.

How to read this breakdown

Similar median

The typical split from athletes who finished in roughly the same overall time as you. This shows whether each part of your race was relatively strong or weak at your current level.

Target median

The typical split from athletes around your target finish time. It is a useful reference, not a split you must match exactly.

Vs similar (comparison to peers)

Your percentile among similar finishers. Faster than 70% means your split was quicker than 70% of athletes at approximately your current level.

Gain and action

Gain is a conservative potential saving towards your target. Protect means you're already strong in this area. Maintain means this area needs a little attention. Target is worth improving. Priority marks one of your three largest opportunities for improvement.

Methodology

MIT Pyrox Dataset.

Benchmarks come from anonymous aggregate distributions generated from completed Season 8 HYROX Singles and Doubles results through Pyrox. Athlete names and individual result rows are not used to calculate those benchmarks. The optional result finder searches an Athlete Tools index of the same public dataset and only uses the selected row to fill your inputs.

In Doubles, enter the official complete team time for each station, including partner exchanges. “Similar finishers” uses the nearest ten-minute finish-time cohort. Target splits are cohort medians, not guarantees or prescribed pacing. Estimated improvements are capped at 10% for runs, 15% for stations and 20% for Roxzone, as well as at the total target gap.
