Calculator and race data

Calculator inputs and pasted HYROX results are processed to produce your result. Athlete Tools does not deliberately send those input values, athlete names or generated race reports to its analytics services. Race Report share data is encoded in the link itself; anyone you give that link to can read the report, so treat it as shareable information.

Optional HYROX result search

Selected HYROX tools can search a copy of the public HYROX result dataset published by the independent Pyrox project. Athlete Tools queries its own result index rather than sending your search to Pyrox. It does not save the name you search for or the selected result in product analytics. The underlying public data originates from Pyrox.

Search results originate from publicly listed race data and can contain mistakes or several people with the same name. You must select and confirm the correct event before importing. The browser-only paste importer remains available if you do not want to search by name.

Analytics

Athlete Tools uses PostHog EU and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful. This can include the page visited, broad referral source, successful tool actions, browser and device information, and approximate geographic information supplied by the analytics providers.

PostHog automatic interaction tracking, session recording and persistent visitor profiles are disabled. Traffic attribution is reduced to an approved label such as “reddit”, “x”, “google”, “direct” or “other referral”. That label can be carried between Athlete Tools pages in the address bar so a successful tool use can be attributed without browser storage. Full referring URLs and arbitrary campaign values are not added to Athlete Tools events.

Cookies and browser storage

The current PostHog configuration uses in-memory analytics persistence and disables session replay. Athlete Tools does not use analytics cookies to recognise you across visits. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics product does not use cookies or local storage for analytics. Essential infrastructure may still process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site.

Feedback and contact

The feedback form prepares an email on your device. Its contents are not submitted to Athlete Tools until you choose to send that email. If you contact Athlete Tools, your email address and message are used to respond and improve the product and are retained only as reasonably necessary.
